Code of Conduct and Behavior Policy

Endometriosis Excision for All is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and compassionate environment for everyone who engages with our organization. Whether you're a patient, applicant, volunteer, healthcare partner, or supporter, we believe in treating every person with respect, empathy, and dignity.

We recognize that many individuals we serve have experienced being dismissed or unheard in healthcare settings. Our Code of Conduct ensures that our community upholds an environment where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued.

Expectations for All Participants

Whether you are attending an event, volunteering, applying for services, or representing the organization, we expect:

  • Kind, respectful, and inclusive behavior toward others

  • A willingness to listen without judgment

  • Clear, professional, and non-aggressive communication

  • Respect for physical and digital property of the organization and others

  • Adherence to event guidelines and health/safety protocols

Volunteers and staff are also expected to:

  • Dress appropriately and wear organization-provided name badges when applicable

  • Greet others with warmth and professionalism—yes, a smile goes a long way

  • Model the behavior and values we ask of our community

Prohibited Behaviors

The following actions are not tolerated:

  • Aggression, harassment, or bullying of any kind

  • Disruptive, disrespectful, or discriminatory conduct

  • Theft, vandalism, or misuse of organizational property

  • Use of drugs or alcohol at official events

  • Failure to comply with staff or volunteer instructions intended to maintain a safe space

Consequences for Violations

Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • A verbal or written warning

  • Immediate removal from an event or service

  • Loss of eligibility to participate in future programming

  • In severe cases, legal action or reporting to relevant authorities

All violations will be evaluated fairly, respectfully, and in alignment with our Disciplinary Policy.

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this code, please contact us.

Concerns will be handled with discretion and without retaliation.

This Code of Conduct is reviewed annually and applies to all staff, volunteers, board members, applicants, and event attendees.
