Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Policy

At Endometriosis Excision for All, we are committed to fostering a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion across our organization and in all aspects of our work. We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone—applicants, volunteers, healthcare partners, staff, and community members—is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect, regardless of their background or identity.
We oppose all forms of unlawful discrimination and strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment for people of all races, ethnicities, abilities, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.
This policy is designed to:
Promote equality, fairness, and respect for all involved with Endometriosis Excision for All.
Ensure non-discrimination based on protected characteristics, including:

Race or ethnicity
Disability
Religion or belief
Sex or gender identity
Sexual orientation
Marital or parental status
Pregnancy
Prevent harassment, victimization, and bias in all organizational practices including:
Program access
Volunteer recruitment
Communications and partnerships
Internal decision-making and governance
We commit to:
Creating an inclusive environment: Everyone should feel empowered, valued, and safe. We expect professional and respectful conduct from all individuals associated with our organization.
Zero tolerance for discrimination: Acts of discrimination, harassment, or bias will be treated as serious misconduct and may result in disciplinary action or termination of involvement.
Access and opportunity: We provide equal access to participation, training, and volunteer roles based on merit and alignment with our mission, not personal identity or background.
Transparency and accountability: We regularly review our practices and policies to ensure they are inclusive and aligned with evolving best practices.
Training and education: We provide orientation to new volunteers and board members to raise awareness of their rights and responsibilities under this policy.
We will:
Review the demographic makeup of our board, volunteers, and participants periodically
Assess whether our outreach and services are inclusive and accessible
Update this policy annually or as required by law and practice changes
Solicit anonymous feedback to identify any barriers to inclusion or equity
Reporting Concerns
Anyone who experiences or witnesses behavior that may violate this policy is encouraged to report it to our leadership. Reports can be made confidentially and without fear of retaliation.
This policy is approved by the Board of Directors and supported by leadership at all levels of Endometriosis Excision for All. All members of our organization are expected to uphold its principles.
