Meet Callie
It took Callie 24 years to get a medical diagnosis of stage 4-5 advanced endometriosis. She went through her entire teenage and early adult life having no idea what endometriosis was or the impact it could have on infertility because every doctor she saw told her that her pain was normal and she had nothing to be concerned about. Callie was hospitalized numerous times, dismissed, and misdiagnosed. Once receiving her diagnosis at the age of 37 she had excision surgery, went through multiple failed IVF rounds due to the disease affecting her egg quality and 20 months after her excision surgery, her endometriosis returned. 2 years after her diagnosis at 39 years old she had to have an emergency total hysterectomy because her ovaries became adhered to one another due to her masses being so large. Endometriosis stole her ability to have biological children. Through her own lived experience, she turned her pain into purpose.
Callie has 18 years of experience working in healthcare and knows how clinical environments operate. Callie is a certified keynote speaker, a certified life and wellness consultant offering 1:1 Endo Bestie sessions to help others navigate their journey so they don’t have to go through it alone. She is the founder of Endo Warriors Podcast and co- founder of THE GIRLS ROOM PROJECT with Jamie Silva.
