Kylee Rock, Policy Outreach Coordinator

Kylee lived with endometriosis for over eight years before finally receiving an accurate diagnosis and treatment. During that time, she was repeatedly dismissed by her gynecologist and even labeled a “sensitive patient,” despite experiencing debilitating symptoms that disrupted her daily life.

With her mother, who also battled endometriosis, the two spent months researching the most effective treatment option: excision surgery. In 2024, Kylee underwent excision surgery at Mount Auburn Hospital, where doctors discovered Stage 3 endometriosis that had spread throughout her pelvic floor and along her bowels.

Since surgery, Kylee has worked extensively with pelvic floor physical therapists to repair and rebuild strength after years of pain and muscle weakness. She continues to seek answers surrounding her health, as she still faces challenges with gastrointestinal issues and hormonal imbalances. Her journey has given her a deep understanding of the barriers patients encounter in accessing timely, effective care, as well as the resilience required to navigate those challenges.

As Policy Outreach Coordinator for Endo Excision for All, Kylee draws on her lived experience to advocate for equitable access to excision surgery and comprehensive care. She is deeply committed to ensuring that no patient is dismissed, overlooked, or denied the treatment they deserve.
