Pelvic Health Clinical Advisor

Shannon is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy, endometriosis survivor, and committed advocate for equitable, evidence-based care.

Her experience with endometriosis was shaped by years of severe pelvic pain, delayed diagnosis, and repeated dismissal within the healthcare system. Despite her clinical training and understanding of the musculoskeletal and pelvic floor systems, she encountered many of the same barriers her patients face—being told her symptoms were “normal”, having concerns minimized, and struggling to find providers with true expertise in endometriosis. Three surgeries later, she now has a confirmed diagnosis of endometriosis and adenomyosis.

Receiving a confirmed diagnosis brought both validation and grief. It marked not only recognition of a chronic, progressive condition, but also the realization of how much time and health had been lost to delayed and inadequate care.

Through this experience, Shannon developed a clear perspective on what effective endometriosis care requires. She emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach that addresses the full scope of the disease—combining skilled surgical excision, pelvic floor physical therapy, pain management, hormonal and metabolic support, and mental health care.

As a physical therapist, Shannon offers a distinct clinical lens on pelvic health. She understands how endometriosis affects the pelvic floor, surrounding musculature, and neuromuscular function with an emphasis on integrating high-quality pelvic floor therapy into standard treatment pathways.

She continues to support patients through education, advocacy, and a whole-person, evidence-based approach to care.

Her mission is straightforward: to ensure that individuals with endometriosis are heard, taken seriously, and given access to comprehensive, high-quality care early in their disease course.
