Help Anne Access Excision Surgery
Help Anne Access Excision Surgery
““More than a decade of medical negligence and delay have brought me to this point, where I’m now fighting for my life — and for the chance to heal and live normally.””
I’m Anne, and I have stage 4 endometriosis that has spread beyond my pelvis- to my lungs, diaphragm, and kidneys. My organs are fused together, and my condition causes constant, often unbearable pain. Because there is multi-organ involvement, the pain is widespread and effects my whole body.
Recently I was also diagnosed with a rare type of cancer in my pelvis (potentially high-grade). This tumour is 13cms and is causing severe complications and delaying my endometriosis surgeries. Because this cancer doesn’t respond to traditional treatments like chemotherapy or radiation, I’ll be seeking alternative and integrative healing approaches to support my recovery.
I need multiple surgeries. One major surgery for the tumour, and two others for my endometriosis (in my chest and pelvis). This means I’ll be unable to work for quite some time and will need financial support to cover essential living costs, healing treatments, and medical expenses during my recovery.
I truly believe in my bodies ability to heal and regenerate, I just need some support. If you can help in any way, either by sharing or donating, it would mean the world to me and truly make a difference in my ability to heal and rebuild.
My Story
I’ve been living with endometriosis symptoms since I was 11, and things have progressively worsened over the years. By my early teens, my periods were already extremely painful, and in my late teens/early twenties… I began to experience chest pain, diaphragm pain, kidney problems, ovarian cysts rupturing, and recurring infections.
Now at 34, my condition has reached a critical point. I can’t work, I struggle to eat or exercise, and my daily life is dominated by pain and fatigue. I’m also autistic, which makes navigating the medical system even more challenging- especially after years of being dismissed, neglected, and misdiagnosed by doctors who failed to take my symptoms seriously.
My endometriosis has now progressed to stage 4. I have what they call “frozen pelvis,” meaning many of my abdominal organs are fused together. The disease has spread to my diaphragm, lungs, kidneys and other organs, and now (possibly because of severe and untreated endometriosis) I’m also facing this rare form of pelvic cancer.
Although I am under the care of an NHS specialist team, the waiting lists are extremely long and my condition continues to worsen as I wait. I recently suffered a partially collapsed lung during a major flare. More than a decade of medical negligence and delay have brought me to this point, where I’m now fighting for my life- and for the chance to heal and live normally.
Your donations will go toward supporting me while I’m unable to work, covering essential costs, and helping me access the treatments and care I need to recover.
Thank you so much for reading my story, and for any support you can give.
With love,
Anne
